Extra mounting clips are required if you custom cut a strip and use both pieces in your lighting plan. The lights are shipped with one set of clips. Utilizing the cut piece will require another set of clips. They are packaged as a pair which are sufficient to securely hold the light in place. Clips hold the light 1/8 inch off the bottom of the cabinet allowing air to circulate around the entire fixture. This will assure the maximum lifespan of the fixture.
